New York State (NYS)ÌýTeacher CentersÌýprovide thousands of professional learning opportunities, programs, and support to over 275,000 educators statewide. Established in 1984 under Education Law 316 to provide systematic, ongoing professional education services for teachers across New York State, there are now 123 Teacher Centers across the state servicing over 600 PK-12 public school districts and nearly 1,000 non-public and charter schools.
